Flour, flour flour and some freshly baked breads!

Since my last post a lot has happened. I have finished my project for SSC and now I’m fabrikworking for Cerealia in Malmö since November. My project here is called “Rätt direkt” which means creating a proactive way of working with the quality in the mill. Once again a have found myself on unsecure ground, at least when it comes to my areas of competence and knowledge from school. And once again I´m grateful for all the things I have learned and experienced. I wouldn´t call myself a miller but at least I understand 70% of what they are talking about! 🙂

Right know my workdays consist of discussing proteins, amylgram, farinogram and other quality tests and parameters and I do this together with a LEAD team. After an evaluation made by the consultant firm EFESO it was decided that my project would be a LEAD project. This has taken my assignment to a whole new level and I´m very happy to be a part of the LEAD team.

There are many good reasons for working in Cerealia in Malmö.  I will not list all of them here, but I could just give you the top three. The continuous access to freshly baked bread,  the feeling of being in one of the best TV-shows from my childhood (the one that took you through exciting food productions) and the big diversity in the working environment (from laboratories, office to production).

My assignment here is soon coming to an end and the next time you hear from me I will be working in Denmark at Unibake.

Best regards

Louise Dahlberg
