Lantmännen Cerealia is now looking for a Category Manager to join our sourcing function and lead one of our key categories across countries and business areas. This is a role with both strategic and operational dimensions, with a strong focus on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier development.

This is what you will do
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for defining, driving and implementing the category strategy for one of our largest spend areas within our direct sourcing. You will take the lead in planning and executing strategic sourcing projects, identifying savings opportunities, improving supplier performance, and supporting sustainability and decarbonization goals.

The role includes developing strong internal partnerships with stakeholders across countries and functions to ensure alignment with business needs. You will lead supplier negotiations and contract processes, manage risk and compliance, and actively monitor market developments.

In this role, you will also have line management responsibility for two Lead Buyers. You will support their development, ensure alignment across sub-categories, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

You report to the Head of Sourcing and are part of the sourcing management team. The position is based in Stockholm.


This is what you need to succeed

You have

  • A university degree in business, supply chain, engineering or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing
  • Deep understanding of category management, negotiation and supplier development
  • Previous experience in leading teams or individuals within a professional setting
  • Solid knowledge of procurement systems, processes and market analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Experience from the food industry is advantageous
